Private dive join in search for missing Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew

The search for missing Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew has been aided by a private dive team, who have a YouTube channel with 18 million viewers.

Suzanne, 49, has not been seen since Mother’s Day, May 10, when she set out for a bike ride near her home in Maysville. Her bicycle was later discovered abandoned on a rural track a short distance from her property.

Posting footage from their search online Sunday Adventures with Purpose said that they ‚kept their search a secret‘ because ‚there may have been a risk to our team being in the area‘.

Footage shows as they make their way through waters between Salida and Denver; they are not thought to have found any evidence to help in the search.

Diver Jared Leisek had told: ‚We first start with sonar in a lot of these locations, scan it, side scan down, scan 360. And if we identify something, then we suit up and then we get in the water and then we investigate even further to identify guesses 100 per cent.‘

He added: ‚We do have 18 million viewers a month and a lot of them are law enforcement. And we have a lot of law enforcement that has reached out. „Hey, if you need a lead liaison, if you want to come to our state, our town, our community, we welcome you“.‘

Adventures with Purpose last week helped locate the body of man who had been missing in Iowa since 2013.

In the latest video, Leisek teamed up with another amateur investigator, known only as Kurt. In the footage they leave their search for Suzanne amid fears they are being tracked.

They later consult with a psychic on the case.

At the time of Suzanne’s disappearance, her husband Barry was 150 miles away, staying in Denver and gearing up for a landscaping job. Last month, a co-worker exclusively told DailyMail.com that Barry’s hotel room stank of bleach and was littered with wet towels.

Barry – who has offered a $100,000 reward for Suzanne’s safe return – previously theorized that his wife may have been taken by a wild animal. He now says he believes she was abducted.

In August DailyMail.com exclusively reported that scent of human remains was discovered on a plot of land owned by Suzanne's husband, Barry Morphew

Leisek added: ‚One of the things that people keep coming back to is Barry, you know, he was very wet. He had the hotel room. There are three ponds that are near that. We’re also dealing with the mine shaft, also dealing with some of the hunting grounds.‘

Suzanne’s brother, Andy Moorman, arrived in Maysville to conduct his own searches for his sister. Andy has blasted Barry for his behavior following Suzanne’s mysterious vanishing, implicating him in her disappearance.

‚I don’t think she ever got on her bike. I think she probably died on May 9 and she was hidden somewhere that night…  I’m afraid this is domestic abuse,‘ Moorman previously told He later told reporters that believes his sister has been murdered.

But in his interview with CBS 4, Barry blasted back, alleging that Andy had been a bad brother to Suzanne and had never shown any interest in her prior to her headline-hitting disappearance.

‚I’ve spent many nights… [with] Suzanne crying on my shoulder, asking why her siblings refuse to show her love,‘ Barry claimed.

He also stated that he would not join Andy’s search for Suzanne because he does not believe she is still in the area around Salida.

Barry told CBS 4 that he has now put the family home up for sale for $1.75 million, because the daughters are too scared to stay at the home – believing it was the site of Suzanne’s abduction.

The home has been searched by the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations on numerous occasions.

Suzanne, 49, was reported missing on Mother’s Day after Mallory and Macy were unable to contact her.

A neighbor, Jeanne Ritter, 70, called the police after the two girls alerted her to their mother’s disappearance.

Barry was at a Holiday Inn hotel near Denver on the day his wife vanished – last month, DailyMail.com revealed that he had left his room reeking of chlorine and littered with wet towels.

The initial police investigation saw teams of officers drafted in from all over Colorado to search the area around the Morphew home, while police divers were seen checking portions of the river nearby.

Three days after she went missing, CBI and FBI agents were photographed searching the three-bedroom house by DailyMail.com before the search moved to a riverside worksite in Salida where Barry had been doing a landscaping job.
